Megan Goggins Photography Rebrand

When I get to work with creatives who basically ooze joy, passion, and happiness, it makes my heart skip a beat, and that was exactly how my first interaction with Megan was. If you have the chance to meet Megan, even through google hangouts, she is bubbly, kind, knowledgeable and passionate about serving others.

Megan came to me with a photography business (originally Megan's Forever Photography) that she wanted to see change from being an "all things for all people" photographer to solely shooting engagements and weddings. She had already made the change in her business and had seen an immediate change in her booking, but she needed her brand to reflect it to make the full leap forward. She had also just gotten married and saw the opportunity to change her business's name with the brand.

For each of my clients, I like to go into their facebook or google page and skim through the review section. With Megan, her reviews were all praises for how friendly, thoughtful and professional she was. That she was proactive and always thought of things before they were needed, and that she was super patient and friendly throughout the entire process. So it completely aligned with her mission to "always make sure that my experience is as smooth, fun and enjoyable as possible. At the end of the day, I don't want to just be viewed as another vendor on your wedding day, I want to be like one of your good friends!"

With that, we jumped into research and building a vision for her branding.

Her keywords were thoughtful, friendly, colorful, bubbly, classy and modest and her season was spring. (Think bubbly feminine colors and rounded elements)

Our goals were to create a timeless and classy logo that incorporated a mint color that she had become famous for. We also wanted to add in a pop of fun and friendliness. She also loved the southern, classic feminine look, so we decided to play with monograms in her sketches.

With the sketches complete, we narrowed them down to her top two submarks with different typography matched in. And we landed on the custom badge submark and explored more typography and a custom look on the "M" in Megan to tie into the submark.

From there we finalized the typography and added in the color palette of mints and pinks to get the final branding for Megan Goggins PHotgraphy.

It was such a joy to work with Megan on her branding and to see how far she's already come from launching her brand to her followers two weeks ago! To see what Megan's up to, follow her on instagram! And go checkout her website with her updated branding!
