Adventures in Tulsa: Best Patios
Summer is here, and it always makes me think of outdoor patios! Although, Oklahoma heat can be super intense come late July and August, all I want some days is a nice patio with fresh air and something cold, especially on summer evenings! Tulsa has some great outdoor dining patios, and I’m sharing some of my favorites.
I know there are a few great patios out there that won’t be on my list, but unless I have tried it and can give it a good recommendation, I try not to share. I guess that means that I need to do some patio testing for the sake of the blog. What a rough life! ( ;
Mexican food and summer, nothing beats it, and El Guapo has got one of the best views in Tulsa. The three story building has a rooftop patio that gives you a view of Tulsa Downtown and is especially pretty at sunset. Their burritos are also amazing and enough for two!
WildFork has one of the best views of the garden in Utica Square. Enjoy a delicious brunch, lunch and dinner with views of the flowers, squirrels, birds, and shoppers.
R Bar is on Brookside, which has a variety of patios to choose from. The patio is fully covered and shady all day long, so this would be a great patio for lunch or dinner. I also love that R Bar highlights all of the farms their produce and meats come from so you know where you food came from.
I just tried Doc’s for the first time just a few weeks ago and was blown away by their brunch menu. If their other meals are anything like it, you are in for a treat.
This restaurant is a fun one. I love the open airy feel it has, and it also has a great patio that is fully covered. They have yummy sandwiches and salads, and bake their variety of breads fresh daily! I did see that they are now only serving brunch and lunch.
We used to live a walk away from CHOCS, and in the summer I would grab an iced latte, something sweet, and a book and read out on their patio. It’s also such a great place if you like to people watch! ( ; It’s also a great place once it gets cooler, because they have an awesome outdoor fireplace that keeps you nice and toasty.
This isn’t much of a restaurant, but it is one of the best downtown views. If you like live music and a great view, the Mayo rooftop bar is your place. It is quite a view to be standing right below the giant lit-up MAYO sign.
Food Truck Wednesdays or Lucky’s on Guthrie Green
If you haven’t been to a Food Truck Wednesday at the Guthrie Green, you are missing out! Think of a place, where you get to pick from a huge variety of foods to eat. From bahn mi to gourmet hotdogs, to popsicles and mini donuts for dessert…or the main course, you can’t go wrong with Tulsa Food Trucks. And the Guthrie Green has a great shady patio to enjoy your lunch!
